CUBO challenges teams to design and build a high-speed machine that reads, analyzes, and solves a scrambled Rubik’s Cube completely hands-free. It combines computer vision, precision mechanics, and custom electronics for members who want a rewarding technical challenge.
What You’ll Work On:
Computer Vision: Use cameras and color-detection algorithms to scan face patterns in real time.
Solving Algorithms: Implement fast cube-solving logic (such as Kociemba’s algorithm) to compute optimal solutions.
Mechanical & Motor Control: Assemble high-speed stepper or servo systems capable of rapid cube rotations.
Circuit Design: Wire custom drivers and controllers to power and coordinate all motors reliably.
Experience Level: Intermediate. Ideal for members with some prior background in electronics, CAD, or programming who want to step up from beginner projects.
