RFL puts your engineering skills to the ultimate durability test. Working in teams, you will design, 3D print, assemble, and wire a combat robot from scratch, culminating in a live tournament where bots fight head-to-head until the last machine standing wins.
What You’ll Work On:
Mechanical CAD & 3D Printing: Model aggressive chassis, armor layouts, and weapon systems in CAD, optimized for high-impact resistance.
Combat Electronics & Drive Systems: Wire high-discharge LiPo batteries, brushless or brushed motors, ESCs (electronic speed controllers), and RC receivers.
Active Weapon Design: Experiment with spinners, flippers, or wedges built to deal maximum damage while withstanding heavy hits.
The Live Tournament: Pilot your robot inside the combat arena and repair battle damage between bracket rounds.
Experience Level: Open to all skill levels. Great for both beginners looking to get into rapid prototyping and experienced makers eager to build competitive combat machines.
