The Bespoke Project is RoboSoc’s open-ended innovation incubator. Rather than following a fixed challenge curriculum, members or self-formed teams pitch their own original engineering ideas, from automated drones and robotic instruments to smart home automation and receive technical mentorship, lab workspace, and component funding to build them.
What You’ll Work On:
Project Scoping & Pitching: Define your project roadmap, component bills of materials (BOM), and technical milestones.
Rapid Prototyping: Leverage the society’s 3D printers, laser cutters, hand tools, and testing benches to construct custom hardware.
Full-Stack Engineering: Combine mechanics, embedded microcontrollers, PCB design, and custom software tailored to your specific application.
Showcase Presentation: Demonstrate your working prototype at society events, hackathons, and end-of-year exhibitions.
Experience Level: All levels welcome. Whether you are building an ambitious final year passion project or testing an experimental prototype for fun, Bespoke gives you the platform to make it happen.
